Makinson d’Apice is pleased to announce that it has recently moved into new premises and increased its office space as the firm continues to grow. Previously located on Level 12 only, the firm now occupies Level 10 and half of Level 9 at 135 King Street, Sydney. The firm now has 10 Partners, 2 Special Counsel, 5 Senior Associates and 18 Solicitors in addition to over 30 support staff.
In further news, the firm has recently been appointed to the NSW Self Insurance Corporation’s legal panel. SI Corp’s function is to administer the NSW Government’s managed fund scheme. The main managed fund scheme, known as the Treasury Managed Fund (TMF), is the NSW Government’s self-insurance scheme. The TMF protects the insurable assets and liability exposures of all general government sector agencies and a number of state-owned corporations that have elected to join the scheme (e.g. Sydney Water, Bangaroo Delivery Authority, Forests NSW and Taronga Conservation Society Australia). Makinson d’Apice has been appointed to 3 separate SI Corp Main Panels (General, Complex and Protective Actions) and is the only firm in NSW to have been appointed to 3 or more Main Panels.
